The after-hours booking desk, in your front desk's words.
For businesses that live on the calendar: med spas, salons, clinics and service businesses. The operator books, moves and cancels appointments at night the way your best person does it by day.
OperatorThanks for calling Northside Skin Studio. You're speaking with an automated assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help?
CallerI want to book a facial, maybe Saturday?

What it does on an appointment line.
Four actions against your schedule, plus two ways to reach a person. It can't do anything else, which is the point.
Finds open timesget_available_slots
Asks for a day, checks your schedule, and offers only the times that came back. It never proposes a time on its own.
Booksbook
Spells back the caller's name, phone and email before saving anything, then books the exact slot the caller chose. Texts only go out if the caller agreed to them, and only once carrier registration is done.
Reschedules and cancelsreschedule · cancel
Finds the booking by phone number, moves it to a new open time or cancels it, and reads the change back.
Hands offrequest_transfer · request_callback
When a caller asks for a person or a call hits one of your transfer triggers, it transfers during hours and takes a callback after them.
Why a clone beats a blank receptionist here.
Your front desk already knows which questions come before a booking, which services get asked about by name, and when to hand a call to a person. Doppeldesk mines that from your recordings instead of asking you to type it into a form.
Can it double-book?
It can only offer times your schedule returns, and it books by the id of that exact slot. If the slot is gone by the time the caller says yes, it says so and offers the next one.
Can callers reschedule or cancel?
Yes. The operator finds the booking by the caller's phone number and moves or cancels it, then reads the change back.
What if a caller asks for a price it doesn't know?
It never invents one. It gives prices your playbook and tools provide, and otherwise offers a callback or a transfer.
Keep going.
